SEVA Foundation is based in Surrey, BC. Deeply rooted in the South Asian community, the Foundation is focused on empowering women through education, knowledge exchange, and community building. Hamkkeh was asked to facilitate and lead its first Strategic Planning process, as it embarks on an ambitious and new chapter, in which it begins to offer programming and contribute to capacity building in the Lower Mainland. Culturally grounded and tailored to reflect the holistic, women-focused approach of the Foundation’s future work, the key outcome for this process is a 3 Year Strategic Plan, as well as a clearly defined Programmatic Model and Guiding Principles, based on SEVA which means selfless service in Sanskrit.
